When you correct people on the news about Hurricane Names

Author: Zeus | Filed under: Random News & Thoughts

Today, twice, and I’m sure it could have been more I have corrected news casters (ABC News, and Robin from Howard Stern) on how they pronounced Hurricane Noel as ‘No-el’, it’s ‘Nol’. It’s the guy version of Noel. A sign of a true Floridian knows if the storm name is a guy or girl’s. Happy Halloween Noel the guy Tropical Storm!!

  1. No one in the east can pronounce “Oregon” correctly. Yesterday some BC students covering the BC/Florida game kept commenting on the University of Ori-gone and I wanted to take a hammer to them. Ori-gone is not a state.

  2. Man, I totally get that one, you’ve even corrected me on that one. But you can’t read it Oregon, you just have to let it roll off your tongue.
