Hannah Havana (her former name was Hannah Banana) was my inspiration for a custom modern and stylish dog bed that fit the color scheme of my house.  In addition, I wanted a place for her to be able to lay down in the living room with me while I’m watching a movie and a second bed for the bedroom that matched my bedroom colors.  So I started MuttMattress.com

Mutt Mattress.comIt’s exciting to be selling on etsy.com and even more exciting to have an idea that I’m really passionate about.  I have big dreams and aspirations cause that’s how I am but I’m starting simple and small.  Either way go check out these beautiful modern handmade dog beds at MuttMattress.com.  You can follow us on Twitter/MuttMattress

Eventually we’ll make dog beds that cover pillows (so those old pillows can be reused) and make dog beds out of fabrics you have found that better match your home decor.

So please help me in promoting this exciting venture with this tweet or facebook post:  ”Finally, custom and modern dog beds that fit your home decor!!! www.muttmattress.com”

In 2009 I had resolutions and also in 2008 and 2006.  I’m going to combine and review them and note what I’ve completed and what will get rolled over and added to this year.  These aren’t really resolutions more like goals…

  • Read more (Roll over: Too many good books, motivational wise to not do this enough)
  • Less Computer (Roll over: Just good practice, I feel like I’m always online looking at something)
  • Learn to use my new digital camera (My Christmas present to myself)
  • Hang out with friends (Roll over: I have amazing fucking friends!)
  • Meditate more (This is just good to do)
  • Continue to eat lots more fruit and vegetables (Again good habits)
  • Build core strength (Will try Yoga / Pilates, and The 4 Hour Body by Tim Ferris)
  • Become even more minimalistic with stuff. (I’m trying hard to purge of things I don’t need or want).
  • Walk and spend more time with Hannah Banana (She’s very fun to hang out with)
  • Take a random trip somewhere exotic (Preferably somewhere with a beach)
  • Do something from my bucket list
  • Pay off Debt (It’s time to get back on track)
  • Buy a Boat (I think it’s time)
  • Go hiking, back packing, camping..with the dogs. (Did this over July 4th weekend finally! Will try to do it again this year)
  • Go horseback riding (Did this in Australia two years ago, would love to do this again on a beach somewhere)
  • Go indoor rock climbing (Roll over: This is just good exercise, but it’s so damn far from my house!)
  • Go watch and bet on Jai Alai (I won $20 bucks!)
  • Go to the circus (I went at the beginning of last year, good to see the animals, now I want to ride an elephant in South Africa)
  • Go to the fair (Roll over: Hopefully this year that will happen)
  • Go indoor or regular sky diving. (Roll over: Just stupid expensive, I should have bought the groupon that had this)
  • Go on an Airboat ride. (Roll over: This summer, hope to go in as a group)
  • Get Salsa Lessons (Completed this in Australia and will try to continue doing this again)
  • Have a Garage Sale (Did this when I returned from Australia)
  • Learn CPR (I am certified till sometime next year when I will renew it)
  • Date Night, Helicopter ride over Orlando (Roll over: Just a neat idea)
  • Date Night, Actually fly a small plane over Orlando (Roll over: Another neat idea)
  • Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity (Did this with some disappointment, will try another volunteering service)
  • Blog more

You know me I’ll review these in a few months to check in……Here’s to a new year friends….Cheers!

From New York

Mandy and I lived in my cousin’s apartment right in the middle of one of the greatest cities!  We were there 4 days, and had more than our handful of walking a dog, walking around, and shopping.  It was quite an adventure being in a small apartment with over sized furniture and a 6 month old puppy.  It was fun, but definitely a lot of hard work and walking. We had a great time and I really appreciate my cousin letting us stay at his place. It’s an awesome place and he’s got a great dog. It was super fun to be able to walk everywhere and have some really good local food…and pizza! We really had a good time and didn’t do too much site seeing other than go to the famous Apple store and I bought Mandy a Tiffany’s Dragon Fly Pendant.  Also Critchet and his fabulous girlfriend Gina drove up from the D.C. area to hang out and visit with us!  We had one hell of night on the town Thursday Night.

Over the past two months, Mandy has taken the dogs to Happy Paws Orlando for doggy day care.  I finally got the chance to visit this past Monday, and the amenities are awesome!  The dogs absolutely love it!
Happy Paws Orlando
We’ve really taken advantage of it, even if we just leave the dogs for the day.  Hannah gets to swim, Marle gets to play with other dogs, and they come home exhausted!  It’s really worth it and I’m glad I finally got the chance to see the place myself!.  The owners Michael and Corrina are super nice and have done a phenomenal job with every detail.  I’ve spoken extensively to the owners and they have done 5 years of research traveling around the country visiting Pet Resorts and talking to pet owners of what they liked and did not like about the pet resorts they were going to.  They have really done their homework.  It shows in the quality of everything they do, between limiting the number of dogs, and cats (because too many becomes unsafe for everyone), and being able to have a web cam to watch your dog from the web.  It’s incredible the amount of effort to detail and service.  I highly recommend this place to anyone with a pet.  It’s good exercise and the grooming service they do is worth it.  Best of all the price is very reasonable!!

If you’ve noticed I’ve implemented the same gallery KMTTours.com is now using. It’s by NextGen Gallery, really bad ass plugin for WordPress.
